Daniel J. Acosta is a Consultant for The Boston Consulting Group. Previously, he worked at The EOP Group, U.S. Department of State: Foreign Service, and the Law Offices of Jimmy Gutierrez. He received his B.A. from Yale University and an MBA and J.D. from Georgetown University.

Robert S. Azeke founded The Sunday Group. Previously, he worked at Compass Partners LLC, Lazard Freres LLC, Goldman Sachs, and Gold Coast Securities. He received a B.A. from the University of North Carolina and an MBA from Harvard University.

Ken Blacklow is a Partner at The Cue Group. Previously worked at Management Leadership for Tomorrow, HealthFirst, Inc., NBA Japan, The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey and Massachusetts State Senate. He received an A.B. from Harvard College and an M.P.A. from Columbia University.

Chawane Floyd is a Supply Chain Consultant at UPS. Previously, he worked at G&P Trucking, Science & Engineering Library and Honor & Ethic Seminar. He received a B.A. from the University of Virginia.

James E. Francis is the Founder and CEO of Paradigm Asset Management. Paradigm is a 1.4 billion investment advisory firm committed to creating and managing innovative equity strategies designed to meet the needs of institutional investors. Previously, he worked at Oppenheimer & Company, Shearson Lehman Hutton and IBM Corporation. He received his B.A. from Morehouse College.

Jacques Garibaldi is a Partner and Investment Committee Member at Royal Capital Management, LLC. Previously, he worked at Bain Capital and The Blackstone Group. He received a B.B.A. from Howard University and an MBA from Harvard.

David A. Hinson is a Principal at Wealth Management Network, Inc. Previously, he worked at EnvestNet Asset Management, Village Foundation, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley & Co. and First Chicago Bank. He received a B.B.A. from Howard University and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Hinson is currently serving as the Treasurer of CUP.

Matt HoganBruen is a Managing Director of Banc of America Capital Access Funds. Previously, he spent two years as a legislative aide for a Member of Congress in Washington, D.C. who represented Flint, Michigan. He received a BA in Political Science from the University of Michigan, an MA from the University of Chicago, and an MBA from Oxford University in England.

Maryana Iskander is Chief Operating Officer of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Previously, she served as Adviser to the President of Rice University. She earned a B.A. magna cum laude from Rice University, an M.Sc. from Oxford University (while a Rhodes scholar), and a J.D. from Yale Law School.

James Mason is one of the founding managers of Parish Capital Advisors, LLC. Previously, he served as Director of Private Investments for Duke University Management Company. He received a BS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar, and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School.

Brian Mathis is a Managing Partner of Provident Group Asset Management, LLC. Previously, he worked at Advent Capital Management, LLC, Pacific Alternative Asset Management Company, LLC, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. He received a BBA from the University of Michigan Business School and a J.D./M.P.A. from Harvard Law School.

Tosa Ogbomo is a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs. Previously, he was a director in the M&A Group at Merrill Lynch. He received an MSc in Finance (high distinction) from Bentley College in 1993 and an MBA from Harvard University Business School in 1997.

Lawrence E. Penn III is a Managing Director at The Camelot Group International. Previously, he worked at Lazard Freres, JP Morgan, New York State Comptroller and United States Army. He received his B.S. from the United States Military Academy, an M.S. and an M.A from the University of Maryland European Division and an MBA from Columbia University. Mr. Penn is currently serving as the Vice-Chairman of CUP.

Jacques-Philippe Piverger is a Principal Investor at AIG Investments. Previously, he was a Founder and Senior Partner of The Soleil Group as well as an investment professional at Barclays Capital and Friedman Billings Ramsey. He received a B.S. in finance from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth where he was a Private Equity Research Fellow.

John Brandon Rhea is a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Global Consumer/Retail Group at Barclays. Previously, he worked at Lehman Brothers, JP Morgan Chase, Pepsico Inc., Boston Consulting Group, and Painewebber, Inc. He received a B.A. from Wesleyan University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Tarrus L. Richardson is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of ICV Capital Partners. ICV Capital is a $440 million private equity fund seeking to buy companies with sales ranging from $25 million to $150 million. Previously, he worked at Joseph Littlejohn & Levy, Gold Coast Securities, and Salomon Smith Barney. He received a B.S. from Purdue University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Mr. Richardson is currently serving as the Chairman of CUP.

Janet Rollé is Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of BET Networks. Previously, she served as Vice President and General Manager of AOL Black Voices and AOL women’s and Lifestyle Programming from 2005 to 2007. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance from the State University of New York, college at Purchase, and received an MBA with a special dual concentration in marketing and film from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business.

Beatrice O. Sibblies is the Founder and Principal of BOS Development. Previously, she worked at Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, J.P. Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley & Co. She received her B.A. from Yale University and MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Chrystal J. Stokes is a Director at American Express Company, a leading global payments and travel company. Previously, she worked at J.P. Morgan Partners, Granite Broadcasting Corporation and Goldman, Sachs & Co. She received her B.A. from Spelman College and her MBA from Harvard Business School.

Whitney Tilson is the Founder and Managing Director of T2 Partners LLC and the Tilson Mutual Funds. Previously, he was Executive Director of the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City. He received his B.A in Government from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Kweli Washington is the Founder and a Principal of the Kew Group. Previously, he worked at the Boston Consulting Group. He received his A.B. from Harvard University and an M. Phil. from Queen Elizabeth House, Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.

Joanne Yoo is a Founder of the Council of Urban Professionals and currently serves on the Executive Board. She received degrees from the University of Virginia, Harvard, and Columbia.

Sekou Kaalund is a Managing Director and global head of Private Equity Fund Services (PEFS) Business Development for JPMorgan Worldwide Securities Services. Previously held a number of leadership positions at Citigroup. He received a B.A. from Hampden-Sydney College, where he was a merit scholar, and an M.P.P from Duke University, where he was a Woodrow Wilson Fellow and a Donnelly Foundation Fellow.
