Associate Director, Office of the President (New York)
Eurasia Group is seeking a high-level Associate Director for its Office of the President to be based in the firm’s New York office.
In this position you will be the primary support to both the President and owner of the firm and to the Head of Research and Director of our Washington, DC office. You must be a pro-active, detail-oriented individual who can handle both personal and professional matters with efficiency and poise. You must be at complete ease in a very fast-paced, results-oriented environment. You will be expected to effectively manage two direct reports in order to support both executives, and to recruit and manage interns to the Office of the President.
The President has an extremely busy calendar, an extensive travel schedule and a diverse client base. As Associate Director, you will act as chief of staff within the Office of the President, and serve as ultimate gatekeeper for the President. You will be required to effectively coordinate among members of the Office and the firm at large in order to meet competing demands for President’s attention on internal and external affairs. You will coordinate, direct and actively participate in regular staff meetings, and be aware of all activities within the Office of the President. In addition, you will act as a key driver of business development prospects and accounts directly handled by the President. Your professional responsibilities for the President will include, but are not limited to the following: coordination of complex travel arrangements, both domestic and international; heavy calendar management, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, compiling reports and furnishing information. You must have the ability to prioritize projects as needed and exercise considerable judgment and discretion in completing assignments.
The President has a busy social calendar and multiple homes. You will act at the “COO” of his personal matters, and must support both his professional and personal needs with excellence. Your personal responsibilities for the President will include, but are definitely not limited to: total responsibility for the President’s personal finances, meticulous bookkeeping, the production and delivery of status reports for periodic review and vigilant monitoring of multiple budgets; management of all details for multiple cars, homes and home staff; event planning and shopping; special projects and tasks, as they arise. It is a definite plus if you have a demonstrated interest in or experience with interior design and/or large-scale home remodeling or renovations.
The Head of Research has a busy calendar and an expanding mandate within the firm. Your primary responsibility to the Head of Research will be to remotely coordinate with colleagues in the Washington, DC office to provide him with first-rate support.
If you are outgoing, proactive, and thrive in an intelligent and fast-paced corporate culture, you will love the dynamics of this position. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a B.A, 5-7 years experience as a personal/executive assistant at the President or C- level and extensive personal international travel experience. You must have relevant experience in a corporate environment and be accessible 24/7. A commitment to excellence, a quick learning ability, and impeccable communication, technical, and writing skills are also required.
All applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.
